Cursor Snap Erratic

In the graph mode display my cursor snap has just started becoming erratic. The block cursor will flash for just an instant sometimes when I near a line on the graph but never stays. I don't know of any changes to the computer that would cause this to suddenly start happening. On some parts of the line, it will not even flash but on other parts if I position the mouse arrow just below at a specific set distance I can get to to show fairly contsistantly, but just at that one spot on the line. Any clue as to what to look for? Doug
