: : : Capital Gains Avg Report

: : : I ran this report to calculate some items I have sold. In several items the shares shown on the report do not match what was actually redeemed. For instance one fund on the report shows 2096.976 shares redeemed but the actual data keyed in is 2188.220 shares which is the entire holding. I have checked all the entries and the 2188.220 is entered correctly. Im sure it is something simple on my end. Any thoughts?

: : Hi Ron,

: : Your redemption of 2188.220 shares probably got broken up into 2 line items for this report. One for the long term, and one for the short term capital gains. See if there isn't another line item showing that accounts for the remaining shares.

: : Thanks,

: Mark,

: There is only one line per investment but here is what I have found, Although I have YTD specified in the report criteria the # of shares reported as sold is not being reported as the number input in the redemption area but as the number of shares as of a certain dates. For the above fund it is using the # of shares as of 12-29-04. For others it is using 12-1/-04, 12/23/04, 2-3-05, 1-18-05, 12-22-04. These are dates when reinvested dividends were posted. The sold date on the report is correct but as I said the # of shares corresponds to random dates. Securities with no changes in # of shares are reporting correctly.

Mark,

Please disregard. As usuual you are correct. There are additional lines and they do add to the total. I don't know why I did not see that even after you pointed it out. I've used your program for many years now and it is a great product. Also when I have had an issue (usually operator error) you have always helped. Thanks again
