: : : : When I open "Portfolio" or "Investments" from within the program the names are in reverse alphabetical order. They used to be in alphabetical order. This is a minor inconvenience but I would like to know how to put them back in proper order. : : : : Thank You : : : Hi Jim, : : : You can sort them alphabetically by choosing "Investments/Sort By/Name". : : : If they're in reverse order now I'm guessing you accidentally selected : : : "Investments/Invert Stack". : : : Thanks, : : : Mark : : : -- : : : Mark Beiley : : : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP : : : /XP : : : : : Hi Mark, Thanks but it is not the investment order in a given portfolio that is the problem. It is the order that the portfolios appear (in the drop down window) when I want to open a different portfolio by clicking on the "open portfolio" icon. the same problem exists when I click on the "open inventment(s)" icon. : : Hi Jim, : This is the standard Windows "Open" dialog. It sounds like you have the display in "List" mode, and are sorting by descending name. You can click on the "Name" header again to toggle it between ascending/descending. Notice the little triangle icon in the list view header, it shows you which : column/direction the list is being sorted by. : Thanks, : Mark : -- : Mark Beiley : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP : /XP : Hi Mark: Thanks again but I need more help. You are correct, my display is in the "list" mode but there are no headers shown (windows 98). If I go to the "details" mode there are headers and I can click on "name" and alternately reverse the listed order. Howeve no matter which state I leave it in, the default always comes back to desending order when I do it the next time. It did not used to be this way and I would like to change the default.
Thanks, Jim
