: Hi Mark; : When I attempted to do a generic import of Transactions this month with Fund Master on win XP : I had difficulties because the format string wasn't saved from last month. Is that going to be a problem with win XP every month? Or do I have to do something to get XP to remember the format string. I know I set FM up to do the import last month, and had to set it up again this month.I have used the generic import every month for 4-5 years with win 95,98, & ME for probably a year or so on each and FM always remembered the format string, after I set set it up. Was the final release for FM 6 in November if so is that the problem? : : Lawrence Brandon Hi Lawrence, This is suppose to work under XP also. The last 6 unique format strings you've used are stored in the registry at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\defaults under the key names: gt_form gt_form1 gt_form2 gt_form3 gt_form4 gt_form5 You can do an import, and then use "regedit" to go look at these values, and see if they got stored properly. They should get stored at the completion of a successful import. If you could let me know the following: 1) Are they stored correctly in the registry after a good import? 2) If they do get stored, are they recalled okay for the next import? 3) What is the specific format string you're using that isn't getting stored/recalled properly? Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
