: : : : : I recently downloaded FM 6 to evaluate and cannot import from Quicken. The message "Imported 0 Transactions" appears. Another message preceeds this but is immediately covered, so I do not know its content. : : : : : Is there a import restriction in the evaluation version? : : : : : Here is a sample from the QIF file that I am attempting to import: : : : : : !Type:Invst : : : : : D01.01.02 : : : : : NShrsIn : : : : : YABN Nikkei 225 : : : : : I134.672657 : : : : : Q350 : : : : : U47,135.43 : : : : : T47,135.43 : : : : : ^ : : : : : D01.01.02 : : : : : NShrsIn : : : : : YBASF : : : : : I41.639667 : : : : : Q150 : : : : : U6,245.95 : : : : : T6,245.95 : : : : : ^ : : : : : Any ideas? : : : : : Thank you, : : : : : Alan Cooper : : : : Hi Alan, : : : : The problem is the format of the date line. It has periods, and : : : : FM is expecting forward slashes. Which version of Quicken are you : : : : using? I will make FM support this format with version 6.1. Would : : : : you like to test out a beta version of 6.1 with this fix? If so, let : : : : me know, and I'll e-mail it to you. You could also use a workaround : : : : of modifying the QIF file to change all the lines beginning with a 'D' : : : : as shown here: : : : : From: : : : : D01.01.02 : : : : To: : : : : D01/01/02 : : : : Thanks, : : : : Mark : : : : -- : : : : Mark Beiley : : : : : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP : : : : /XP : : : : : : : Hi Mark, : : : Thank you for the quick reply. I manually converted a few of the dates and that did indeed solve the problem. As I do have a lot of data to import I would like to take you up on your offer of emailing a beta version 6.1 with the fix. The quicken version I am using is called "Swiss Edition". Thanks again, : : : Alan : : Hi Alan, : : Thanks for the information. Sounds like the "Swiss Edition" has a different : : format for the QIF files. I've added support for this in 6.1, thank you. : : I've also just now sent you via e-mail a beta 6.1 to test this out. : : Thanks, : : Mark : : -- : : Mark Beiley : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP : : /XP : : : Hi Mark, : Unfortunately, my Quicken prn files also do not import into FM. Same date format problem it seems. Here is a sample: : "Date","Price","High","Low","Volume" : "19.11.01",4.35,,, : "17.11.01",4.17,,, : "13.11.01",4.32,,, : "08.11.01",3.95,,, : "24.10.01",3.56,,, : "22.09.01",2.17,,, : "01.09.01",3.18,,, : "25.08.01",3.63,,, : "11.08.01",3.69,,, : "28.07.01",3.43,,, : "14.07.01",3.19,,, : "30.06.01",3.95,,, : "23.06.01",3.38,,, : "16.06.01",3.40,,, : "11.06.01","3 3/4",,, : Do you have a fix here too? : Thanks and regards, : Alan Hi Alan,
You can use the generic price import for this. Use this format string: "DD.MM.YY",NAV,XX I notice the very last price has a different format, so you may need to import twice if some of your prices are in that format. For the 2nd import use: "DD.MM.YY","NAV",XX Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
