Assume my portfolio is worth $100 on December 31, 1998 and is currently worth $200, on October 6. Is there any way to generate a report that would calculate a YTD return of 100%? Or will the return from 12/31/98-10/6/99 show as greater than 100% because the gains took place over less than a year? I am interested in knowing how much my portfolio is up YTD, ove the previous 3 months, etc. without having the number annualized. : Thanks, One more thing...Is it also possible to calculate such a return if I have made cash contributions to the account during the time period? In other words, assume I had one share of stock worth $100 on 12/31/98 and then I add $50 cash to my portfolio on 10/5/99 (by adding cash to the portfolio's default cash account). On 10/6/99, my share of stock is worth $150, making my total portfolio worth $200. What yields will be calculated (both ROI and Fund Performance) for my portfolio in this case (for the date range of 12/31/98-10/6/99)?
