: I read in Help that "All yields calculated by Fund Manager are average annualized yields." Assume my portfolio is worth $100 on December 31, 1998 and is currently worth $200, on October 6. Is there any way to generate a report that would calculate a YTD return of 100%? Or will the return from 12/31/98-10/6/99 show as greater than 100% because the gains took place over less than a year? I am interested in knowing how much my portfolio is up YTD, ove the previous 3 months, etc. without having the number annualized.

: Thanks,
: Avi

Hi Avi,
It is true, all yields are average annualized, so in your example above the
yields would be larger than 100%. It sounds like you may be looking more
for some of the %Gain numbers, which are available in some of the reports,
like the portfolio performance and custom reports. These are not
annualized, but do not factor in the time value of money, they are a
strict percent gain from start to end. See the formulas in the online help.

Thanks,
Mark
