: Sorry to be such a bother...

: I was hoping that either Mark or someone else could briefly run down the advantages or features available in Fund Manager that are not available in Quicken. I am trying to decide which software would suit my needs better, and my research indicates that the two programs' capabilities are very similar. Perhaps someone can tell me what features one program has that the other doesn't?

Hi Avi,
Fund Manager only tracks your investments, not your bank account, home
loan, credit card, etc... It has a wider variety of graphs/reports for
investments that help you see them from different perspectives. For example,
the Cost - Price graph lets you quickly see graphically where your cost
is relative to the current price. This is just one example, there are
many more graph types, as you can see under the "Graphs" menu. Also, the
reporting capabilities of FM are greater with respect to investments,
offering a wider variety of figures of merit to examine. The yields
calculated by FM are true yields. Also, there are advanced features, such
as e-mail/pager price alerts, and a daily portfolio price update feature.
Plus, with Fund Manager, you get support directly from the developer.

Thanks,
Mark
