: : : : Does anyone keep track of gold and/or oil prices with FM? I'm interested in getting historical prices for these commodities and then updating them as I do indices, 30 yr US T-bond yields, etc. Any suggestions as to where I could get this information on an historical and ongoing basis? What would the symbols be?

: : : : Thanks for the help!!

: : : Hi Wyatt,
: : : I don't know the answer, but have you tried to do a ticker search on
: : : Yahoo with your browser?

: : : Thanks,

: These aren't the actual cash or futures contract prices, but the following indices can be used to track the underlying commodities fairly closely.

: ^OSX - PHLX Oil Services Index
: ^OIX - CBOE Oil Index
: ^XOI - Amex Oil Index
: ^GOX - CBOE Gold Index
: ^XAU - PHLX Gold and Silver Index

: The above symbols are those used on the Yahoo server, but the base symbol (without the ^ ) is fairly universal, I think.

: : Thanks Mark,
: : I did try that as well as CBS Marketwatch and Quicken.com with no luck. Maybe someone else has an idea. I'll keep trying and let you know if I have any success. Just thought it might be an interesting bit of data to have.

Thanks Tim. I appreciate the info - will give them a try!
