: : Hello Mark,

: : I feel such technical analysis functions should be added to Fund Manager without splitting it up in two versions. This will make things harder to manage on your side (i'm a network administrator, let's talk about management ), to say the least.

: : My guess is that you should slowly implement technical analysis functions in the current Fund Manager, and simply make them available through advanced menus. Why not add small chapters about technical analysis in the help file so newcomers can learn what RSI means, and so on ?

: : This way, you use what you feel you need to manage your investments. And as you learn, you can choose to use more "advanced" functions.

: : Those are my two cents :-)

: : Bye bye

: Hi Dave,
: Thanks for the feedback. You are definitely right on about the
: difficulty of managing 2 versions. Another reason
: for splitting FM into 2 versions is that there would be
: a price difference between the TA version, and the regular version.
: That way, people who don't want the TA stuff, don't have to pay for it.
: We're still thinking this over, so it isn't finalized...

: Thanks,
: Mark

I'm definitely with Mark on this one. There are plenty of good TA programs available in various price ranges. I own 2 of them - MetaStock and Windows on WallStreet.

I personally hope that Mark continues to deliver a top-notch portfolio management program. There are many additional features that could be added that help investors analyze their portfolios in terms of money management and risk analysis features, etc. This seems like a much more logical direction for the program.
