: : : : Can someone help me with the ticker symbol for the Australian All Ordinaries Index and the Accumulated All Ordinaries Index. XAO (I thought was the symbol)will not retrieve the prices. Thank you.

: : : Con,

: : : It is XAO.

: : : I do not have any trouble - where are you getting your data from?

: : : I found that one source does not include the index (stockwatch, from memory).

: : : Do you have internet retrieve switched on for this?

:
: Graham, I have just tried this & no luck. I downloading my data from the default FM retrievel system being the Australian Stock Exchange. No data is being received for XAO. May be it does not provide this data. Do have another source of getting this info? If so, please advise & how do I change the retrieval of data on FM.

Con,

I posted just below Re: Yahoo.com Australia & New Zealand Quotes.
You will see the relevant addresses. Equitycafe includes the XAO for sure.

You load through File/Import/Prices/Generic
then insert SYMB,DD/MM/YY,XX,HH,LL,NAV,VV in the box.

Once you get all teh back data it is not too difficult to update daily - you can get all the
h ASX indeces from the NZ site for free.

Hope this is helpful.
