: Can anyone help me to figure out how I can update and include prices from the Cyprus Stock Exchange?
: The historic Data file and the daily closing prices are in Excel format and located at http://www.cse.com.cy/market-data/index.html
: I've tried to save the file as comma delim. but I failed to import the new file.
: I'm using the following path:
: File --> Import --> Prices--> Generic
: and in the parameters "DD/MM/YY","HH","LL","NAV","VV" choosing the required symbol.

: Any help is appreciated.

: Best Regards
: Vasilis

Hi Vasilis,
I downloaded the market data for April 1999 from that site, opened it in
Excel, and then saved it as a CSV file. The result is a text file formatted
like this:

CODE,DATE,OPEN,HIGH,LOW,CLOSE,MID-TRANS,VOLUME,BUY,SELL
ACS ,04/02/99,0.75,0.77,0.74,0.76,0.753,56249,0.73,0.77

You can use the generic import command to import this.
Use the format string:

SYMB,MM/DD/YY,XX,HH,LL,NAV,XX,VV,XX

and you would not "specify" either the date or symbol, as they
are both already in the format string.

One more note... It looks like some symbols have a space before
the comma, so you would need to record your symbols in FM with a space
for those to match properly.

Thanks,
Mark
