Hi Klaus,
First, just install 4.2 on your new computer. Then, copy the investment
files (*.dat) to your new computer.

If you want to use your prior
portfolios, you may want to consider placing the investment files in
the same relative path on your new computer, as your old. The reason
is that in FM 3.x portfolios contained the full path to their investments.
If you wish to put your investments in a different directory than they
were before, it is now much easier to re-set up your portfolios, as you
can open multiple investments at once using "File/Open Investment(s)...".

In FM 4.x portfolios now contain the path of the investments, relative
to the portfolio file, so you can more easily move their location.
