Backing Up Files

Hey Mark

I need to replace the hard drive on my laptop and therefore need to save my investment data to a floppy or a re-writeable CD. I would like to be able to back up all data I entered for 50 investemts as well as back up the historical prices I downloaded, some of which go back 10 years.

I tried save the master portfolio to a floppy disk but a message appeared saying "Attempted to copy file but unsuccesful. After aborting, a message appeared saying "Able to back up 15."

I have a disk burner and can save some types of files to a re-writable CD. Excel and Word files can be saved but Quicken files apparently cannot be saved and restored in Quicken.

It appears that my investment data and the corresponding historical prices were saved for 15 investments. I guess I could save investemts 10 investemnts at a time. What is the best way to save my data and then restore on my new hard drive?

Thanks
