: : : : : In the last row of the report sheet "portfolio performance", : : : : : I don't understand the meaning of the item "%gain-I". : : : : : It seems incorrect. I think it should be "((end value/invested)-1)*100)" like all the others rows above. : : : : : In my report the result value is different (much lower). : : : : : Thanks for the reply. : : : : : massimo : : My total values (last row) are: : : : invested:236,750.69; distribut:0.0; end value:273,884.08; gain:37,133.39; : : : %gain-I:8.73. : : : I think the %gain-I value should be 15.68 instead of 8.73 : : : You cannot determine the %gain-I just from the numbers listed in : : this report. Not all of the fields in the equation are displayed. : OK, but there are not redemptions and not distributions among my transactions, there are only purchases. : I think the formula to be used in the last row should be the same as the previous rows. : : It looks like you are using the formala: : : 100 * (end value + dist dist - invested)/invested : Yes! If I compute the %gain-I using this formula in every row in the report : above the totals row (for every single investment), the value is correct. : Thanks for the reply. Hi, The equation used is the same for all investments, as well as the portfolio, but it is not the equation you are using. It is the equation I've shown above, and documented in the online help. If you still think the calculation is being done incorrectly, you can send us your data files, and we can be more specific with the reasons why the calculation is coming out the way it is.
