: : : Mark, : : : I've enjoyed using this program for a long time! : : : How would be the best way to handle money that I'm reinvesting (i.e., from : : : taking profits, or rebalancing portfolio), since it's not really new money : : : being invested. Doing like has been suggested for employer's contributions : : : (entering an equal, negative amount as commission) is the only one I can : : : come up with, but perhaps I'm missing something. : : : Thanks, : : : Mike : : Hi Mike, : : Why not just enter your purchases regularly, as a buy? : : Thanks, : : Mark : : -- : : Mark Beiley : : : : Fund Manager for Windows 3.1x/95/98/NT : : : : : Mark, : Wouldn't that incriment the cost (as in the value-cost graph) total?? The : money I'm thinking of is not new money being invested, but money aready in this : total (at least the original funds part of it) : Mike Hi Mike, If you make equal redemptions and purchases, this won't affect the "Historical" cost. You can adjust the cost mode under "Graphs/Options".
Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
