Needing help with currency settings dialog

Hello ! I am a canadian investor and i've been owning US$ and CAN$ investments for a while. Although I have the owner's manual (i'm a nice registered user ), I believe I still need a little help here as of how to get up-to-date-exchange-rated investments. I don't quite understand the dialog box that Fund Manager displays.I'f i'm right, it seems that I need to add an "currency" investment (in my case, the US dollar) and monitor it everyday as if it was a stock. Then, in the currency dialog box, I associate a letter of my choice (For example, the letter "U") to this currency investment. That way, I will always have the right exchange rate on a daily basis. Any thoughts ? Thanks Mark and friends ;-)
