: I've set up eight different portfolios. Four are actual and the others are funds and stocks in different categories. I have a ninth portfolio that contains all the symbols in the other eight. The idea is to update this and all the others at one time. There are, however, times when I find that some symbols in other portfolios have not been updated on the graphs. When I go to Edit, Update,Multiple I find all the data posted and by clicking "Update" the charts are correct. What causes symbols to be updated in some places and not in others?

What you are doing should work. A couple of possibilities to look at:

1) Your graph ending dates are not floating in the other 8 portfolios for
all investments, so the price is actually recorded, but the graph date
range doesn't float to the new end date. Use 'View/Dates...'.

2) Your symbols aren't actually included in the 9th portfolio, so those
aren't being updated in the other ones. The proper place to look and
see if a price is recorded or not is "Edit/All Data..." with the "Prices"
data type selected.

Thanks,
Mark
