: Hi Mark,

: as you know I have a CD available for sale that contains all ASX historical data in Fund Manager format. In looking at different ways of saving data in Fund Manager format I came across a problem that I would like some more information on please. When I use the export function and select fund manager format, FM exports the data into 3 files .DIV, .INV, .MSC

: The files appear to be text files but the .MSC file does not contain all the price information eg High, Low, Close, Volume

: Could you explain what format these files are in and how I would go about importing them back into FM. When I use the import function it only looks for .DAT files.

: Regards,
: Arnold

Hi Arnold,
The .DIV, .INV, and .MSC were the old text file formats of FM investments.
The .DAT file could be either the old text format, or the newer binary
format, FM will read either still. If it is the text format, then you
need the other 3 text files as well. In the new binary .DAT format, the other
3 files are no longer used.

Thanks,
Mark
