I also have a problem somewhat the same.

My investment (specifically currencies like USDJPY=X) will update sometimes, but not others. Mostly around 10PM. The thing is, I know the Forex is still going on and Yahoo is updating prices non-stop. This and other investments won't update until a little after midnight or so. It happens off and on. I don't know if that helps at all.
