: Thanks Mark. I will give it a try.

: I have 3 investments that require conversion. I have them set up as CAD->USD1,CAD->USD2 & CAD->USD3. I am not sure why. But will the symbol USDCAD=X handle all three?

: Thanks

Hi John,

I think you've misunderstood how the currency conversion works. If you have 3 investments in $CAD, and want to see them in either $CAD or $USD, here is what you would do:

1) Create 1 exchange rate investment, with a symbol of USDCAD=X.
2) Open "Options / Currency Settings..." and set $USD as your default currency, and $CAD as one of the other currencies. For the exchange rate next to $CAD, choose the USDCAD=X investment you created in step #1.
3) For each of your 3 investments in $CAD, set their investment property of currency to $CAD. Record each of these investment's symbols as they actually are (not USDCAD=X, that is just for the exchange rate investment).

You can now use "View / Exchange Rate Adjusted" to view your data either in native or default currency.
