"Sort by" difficulties for Edit All Data

I am trying 8.2 and find that when I SORT BY Value, the Investment list displays that result - - but more importantly, when I go to EDIT ALL DATA in the data register, the Investments remain in alphabetical order. Am I missing a new setting. The previous version would display the data register by Value if I had previously sorted that way.
