: : Mark,

: : Thank you for expressing an openness to modify this feature. In these reports, which seem most meaningful to clients from the perspective of a performance snapshot over the past 12 months or so, having the same starting and end date won't provide this kind of performance information.

: Hi SS,

: I think I didn't explain clearly... I wasn't suggesting to modify your report dates. I was suggesting how we could modify the "Hide Sold Investments" dialog to give you the flexibility in hiding the investments you want. Instead of only giving you the option to pick a single date, we could give you the option to define a date range. If any investment had zero shares owned during this entire date range, only then would it be hidden. That way, if you bought/sold something during the year, you could prevent that from being hidden. For example, you could tell FM to hide investments that 0 shares were owned from 1/1/2006 to 12/31/2006. This way, if you had an investment where you bought it and then sold it in Feb 2006, it wouldn't be hidden. I believe this was the functionality you were looking for?

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the effort to include in next update.

Another thought: Would it make sense to include on Report Dialog the following checkbox "Un-Hide Non-Sold Investments for the selected (report) date range"? Seems easier (once user has initially set up Hide Investments from file ops menu to have this setting on report dialog instead of having to set again thru file menu then open report dialog.

One of my frustrations with FM is that despite my use for over a year I still forget where a particular setting is in the menu system. Nevertheless, a very helpful program I use daily.

Dale
