: How is this corresponding debit from the cash account being recorded? Is it being done automatically by Fund Manager by virtue of a default cash account assignment, or is the cash transaction coming down as an explicit transaction in your download from IB? I'm guessing the later, because FM will include commissions paid when automatically debiting the default cash account for purchases made.

Mark,
Yes, I did set a default cash account for my main portfolio and ALL my sub-protfolios. I double checked this, to make sure. To confirm this, when I import my transactions through the OFX file, I dont see the cash transaction as an explicit one, I just see the investments (stocks and so forth) transactions. In other words, I dont see the cash transaction listed in the Preview Importing Transaction window. So I guess the first one of your hypothesis is correct, not the second one.

However, the following happens anyway:
- when I import my transactions trhough the OFX files, FM correctely does include the corresponding transaction in the cash account (as well as in the stock's data register)
- also, FM does include automatically the commission fees in the stock's data register
- but it does not includes the commission fees in the cash account .. and this is my problem ...

Thanks again - J.

: You can look to see if you have a default cash account assigned under the portfolio properties. When you import from your OFX file, if you see the cash transaction listed in the Preview Importing Transactions window, then this transaction was in your OFX file.

: Thanks,
: Mark
