: Mark,

: I would like to know the best way of of handling the cost/fee for a portfolio of several stocks.

: The fee is quarterly and assessed on the portfolio, not the stocks composing it. I won't have to deduct the fee from an associated cash account. Knowing what the fee amount is each quarter (it differs every quarters), I just want to be able to enter it in the best way in order to see what the portfolio GAIN is.

: Thanks

: Richard

Hi Richard,

Normally these types of fees are deducted from your cash account in the portfolio. You mentioned you won't have to deduct this fee from the cash account. How are you paying this fee then?

The performance of a sub-portfolio is simply the combined performance of all the investments and sub-portfolios of that sub-portfolio. To include a fee it must be included in one or more investments in that sub-portfolio. You can choose however makes best sense for your case to track the fee.

Thanks,
Mark
