: : Hi Mark
: : I'm a new enthusiast user of FM. Great!
: : I'm wondering how to manage the accruals of bonds. Is that possible? It is necessary to show the correct performance, even if it is not yet realized.
: : Can you help?

: : Many Thanks

: Hi Alberto,

: There is no feature to record accrued, but not received interest on bonds. If you wanted to include accrued interest in your performance, you would need to record these as interest received. Normally, you would just record interest as you receive it.

: Thanks,

Hi Mark
I think it would be (expecially if you have a bonds portfolio) very useful to have a simple function in FM in which you give the dates of interest payments (annual, semiannual, quarterly...)and the interest percentage so that an easy function makes the simple linear distribution of the interest, without any consideration of the correct accrual type. This will give a gross idea about the amount of the price+interest accrued (unrealized).

Many thanks

Alberto
