: Hello Mark,

: Is there any way to draw a line on the value graph so that you can tell if a portfolio goes above its projected growth? Or is it possible to have a graph with projected growth at various returns? What I have tried using is a trend line and using trial and error until I get the slope at the desired yield. I am trying to come up with an easy way to tell when a growth portfolio is ahead of projected growth so that I can harvest funds to drop into the income portfolios. This would be useful for clients that are taking distributions from their portfolios.

: Thanks,

Hi Bill,

I was going to suggest using trendlines. It sounds like you are already doing that. Are you running into some problem or limitation with this method? As you draw a trendline the yield for that trendline is shown in the status bar, so you can move it until you get it set on your desired slope.

Thanks,
Mark
