: I have a sub-portfolio with 5 investments in it. Each of the investments has an ending balance of 0.00 yet I still have a .01 ending balance for the portfolio. How do I zero this out? (I’m on v7.6). Thanks in advance.

Hi Carl,

You probably own a small fraction of shares in one or more of these investments. To fix it, try this:

1) Under "Options / Preferences..." set your share digit display to "6", so that you can see your share balance out to 6 significant digits.

2) Open up the Data Register (Edit / All Data...) and under the "Prices" data type, make sure you own 0.000000 shares. If the share balance is not 0 all the way out, you can correct it by editing your transactions. Switch the data type to "Investments (all)" and edit whichever transactions are causing the problem.

To read some tips on how to properly record transactions, to avoid rounding errors, please see:

Thanks,
