: For a given transaction: Is there a way to auto calc the missing entry? For example, can I merely enter price and cost and auto calc shares. Or, enter shares and price and auto calc cost.

: I'm familiar with other similiar programs that have a button to do this and other that are tab key activated as you tab through the empty field.

: It seems that this is not a current capability but, I would like it to be considered to be added in a future release. It would make the entry for a particular account more efficient for me.

Hi Pete,

This capability is in Fund Manager now. For example, in the buy/sell dialog there are 3 boxes:

Value
Shares
Price

You only need to enter any 2 of these 3. Once you've entered 2 of them, you can either press OK, or tab over to the 3rd edit box, and it will automatically be filled in.

The tab order is set up to facilitate recording without rounding errors. Generally, you would enter the dollar amount, hit tab, enter shares, hit tab, and the price will automatically be filled in for the supplied Value/Shares.

Thanks,
Mark
