: Hi Mark,

: Thanks. However, can you show me how to create a cash account? I can't found this information in the manaul or turtorial. I try to create a new investment using "Cash" as the investment type. However, I don't know what should I enter to "Symbol"; "CUSIP"; "Price" and "Share". If I leave those fields empty, a dialog will prompt up with the message "Please fill in all fields".

: Regards,

: Tim

Hi Tim,

You are doing it correctly. You would create a new investment for your cash. When creating a new investment FM does require a "Symbol", but you can enter it as anything, like "CASH". You can leave the CUSIP blank. The Price should be set to $1, and the Shares can be whatever balance you want it to start with on the specified date. For example, if you have $1,000 in cash, enter a price of $1, and 1,000 shares. You can also leave the shares set to 0 if you want to record any buys/sells later.

Thanks,
Mark
