FM Crashes[ Message Board ] [ Archives ] [ Search ] Posted by Richatrd Trilling on July 17, 2007 at 13:41:04: Mark, The following is perfectly reproducible and only seems to happen in one of my portfolios, the other portfolios don't seem to suffer the problem. If I do a stock split on any of the stocks in the portfolio, FM freezes. The only solution is to do ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager and cancel FM. There are a total of 6 stocks plus a currency exchange (7 entries). 1. I can do splits on stocks in other portfolios. 2. I move all the data over to another computer with FM installed. The same thing happens. The only solution is to do ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager and cancel FM. 3. If I open on the new machine, in a portfolio where splits work, the file of the stock file from the portfolio where they didn't work. The split on that stock freezes FM. Splits on the other stocks work. Sounds like data corruption someplace. Other operation on the problem portfolio seem to work. Am using 8.5, QM 385, TM 121 on first machine. on second machine What can I do? Richard
