: : Hi Mark,
: : I just downloaded the 8.6 and in my custom reports I am not getting accurate %Gain(btw) calculations and in the totals line it is showing N.A.?

: Hi Lou,

: How are you determining the %Gain(btw) is not accurate? If you add Gain(btw) and OOP Basis(btw) to your report, and then check that:

: %Gain(btw) = Gain(btw) / |OOP Basis(btw)|

: that should help. Note that in 8.6 the absolute value of OOP Basis(btw) is now used in the denominator, which handles reporting on short positions.

: If an investment is both long and short within the time period you're reporting on, then the %Gain will be reported as "N/A".

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hi Mark,
That does help a little, but I do need to see the %Gain in my totals. Until the recent change I always had that number in the Totals column at the bottom of the report. The number is correct for individual investments, but I also need a proper number for the total portfolio. This is showing as N.A. for any time period I look at. Is there something else I can use?
Thanks,
Lou
