What to do after Importing Historical Transactions

Just started using FM. I followed the tutorial on importing historical transactions to set up my portfolio. Importing Vanguard mutual fund transactions, but only last 2 years of data available for download. Total portfolio value is way low. Why are current positions inaccurate and how do I adjust them?
