yes, I'm already using both the Asset Type and the Investment Goal for other kinds of classification criteria. In my case, for example, I use "Asset Type" in order to distinguish between large cap stocks, medium cap, small cap, micro cap, mixed etc. etc., while I use "Investment Goal" in order to classify the industry to which each investment belongs (Health Care, Industrials, Technology, Retail, etc etc). Both are very useful, and I couldn't give them up. That's why I was suggesting a third kind of categorization - either freely adjustable, like the ones that are already available, or even a more simple one, like a mere "bullish" or "bearish" flag or something similar - which I believe is particularly important, especially in times like this, when people try to protect themselves from possible sharp market declines with some form of hedging investments: that's why it would be important to be able to see wether your hedging strategy is working out or not ... this is just one example of its relevance.
Bottom line: the more categorization possibilities, the better.
