Re: Multiple copies of charts opening on portfolio load[ Message Board ] [ Archives ] [ Search ] Posted by Mark on August 29, 2007 at 22:43:40: In Reply to: Multiple copies of charts opening on portfolio load posted by Nagorak on August 29, 2007 at 21:12:48: : I seem to have encountered an odd bug with the program. Whenever I open another portfolio, without first closing the portfolio I am viewing, a bunch of copies of that portfolio's charts are generated. There seem to be upwards of 5 or 10 copies of the charts that were open on the newly opened portfolio. To make matters worse, every time I switch to a portfolio this way, more and more charts are generated, and soon I have about a billion charts that I have to manually close. : The bug occurs in the following circumstances: : The bug does not occur when I first close the open portfolio by going to File>Close portfolio, before opening a different portfolio. It also does not occur when the program is loaded with the portfolio already open for viewing. : The problem seems to be partially related to graphs carrying over between different portfolios. For example, I set a portfolio to have no open charts, and save it as such. When I switch to that portfolio from one that has charts, those charts (actually multiple copies of them) will be open on the new portfolio. Hi Nagorak, Thanks for the bug report. I tried to reproduce this here, but couldn't. What version of Fund Manager are you using? Have you saved these portfolios using this version, or were they saved using an older version? If you are using a version prior to 8.6 (the latest version), can you see if you can reproduce the problem with version 8.6? If you can, could you please email me a couple sample portfolios with their investments, so I can reproduce the problem here? You can get our email by going to the "Contact Us" link, and filling out a short message. It will then display our email address, which you can use to send attachments. Thanks,
