trouble importing data from prevous version.

For years I've used ver 4.7 and had created a portfolio consisting of 6 investments (mutual funds). Recently the program stopped downloading updates so I went and purchased the new version.

I am now having trouble importing my old data. I have looked through the help files without success and hoped someone can point out what I am doing wrong.

My previous data was stored under the "my data" file in the directory where the program was installed. It contained my 6 investments (.dat files) and my potfolio file (.mm4 file)

When I first opened the new version, the new portfolio wizard ran, but I didn't think I needed to use this since I did not want to create a new portfolio but simply to import my old one.

I finally got it to open my old data (agreeing to change the format for the newer version)but then lost it and now I am really confused what happened.

I still have the old files backed up, so I want to start over again with directions of how to import it correctly.

Help would be appreciated.
