: Hi Mark, : 2) One time I was required to provide a complete cross reference as a printout - for every security, who owns some. Would I have to just crank through your suggested method security by security, printing out each "by security" report? Seems quite laborious - is there a really easy way? Is there some way to export and then "invert" the matrix, say in Excel? : 3) Do you find that, for companies that have 401k plans that use all mutual funds (this is mostly what I encounter with clients) that they mostly provide a workable download facility (those .ofx files or whatever they are called, or some other workable pathway)? Hi Nick, 1) Yes, just get them all updated with all your Schwab imports, and then change the account numbers once you transfer them. If you're organizing your sub-portfolios under brokers, you can move the account in the Portfolio Editor. 2) There are several other ways. For example, you could create a custom report with "Account #" and any other fields you need. Turn on sub-totals by "Sybmol", and list by "Investment". There are quite a few variations of how you can sub-total, list, and filter reports. You might just experiment with the options. Another idea is to create a report at your top sub-portfolio level, and don't sub-total, but list by Symbol. You can then see all your symbols, and click on any one of them to create a zoomed in report on just that symbol. You can export report data to excel if you want to massage it some more. See: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq.html#Excel 3) Yes, if they own mutual funds, then this is usually pretty straight-forward to track. Thanks,
