Always Automatically Autoscaling

(I've asked this before but can't get the problem solved.)

Why does every one of my investments always autoscale itself regardless of the manual adjustments I make?

Can you retell me how to keep individual investments from changing the Date and Scale every time the portfolio is saved.

Perhaps related is Graph Dates "Pre-Defined Ranges:" is set to "Earliest price to date"... is there a way to globally change that? I've never used that option BTW.
