: Your pointer to the tutorial page on portfolios is almost exactly how I have my accounts setup. For me each mutual fund = investment= one account number, even though the account numbers for each fund have all digits the same except the last 2. I tried just entering the common digits as my account number in the tranaction retrieve settings but it just prompts me with an error and then lists of all my account numbers to choose from, which then includes the additional 2 digits.

: I think I could easily set this up where each mutual fund is a sub portfolio as you suggested but since each mutual fund (investment) also has an account number in the property description, I was wondering if this account number can be used and if not how is this field used in fund manager?

Hi jc,

The account # is in the "Investment Properties..." is not used for the transaction retrieve. Only the account # in the sub-portfolio properties is used. If each mutual fund has a separate account #, you'll probably want to put each one in its own sub-portfolio.
