Price Updates for "Custom" Portfolio Performance Reports

When creating Portfolio Performance charts and other Reports, I assumed the relevant security issues would have their prices imported for the pertinent dates, automatically, if the”PRC” button was clicked. However, after importing transaction data, it looks like I must enter prices manually for the Performance Reports’ two dates. I’m sure there’s a way around this…but one concern about using an automation of ALL portfolio quotes is that the imported quotes might overturn, for example, previously entered stock dividends, other distributions, or stock splits that may have been entered by hand due to an erroneous transaction data import. So, my 2 questions are: 1)Is there a simple way to download prices for all portfolio issues on two customized dates simultaneously?
2)Does manually entered price data (dividend or stock split) “overrule” automated price data available through Yahoo, for example?
