We use security code twice? once to post new, once to post answers, both have a easily remedied space for the FMSC OR E OR WHATEVER IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE....

Yes, any time you post either new or a follow-up, you need to enter the security code. This is to help prevent automated scripts from posting spam.
