Thanks Mark. That clarifies some things for me.

How can I set up Fund Manager to reflect actual cost instead of out of pocket expenses? The current capital gains reports appear to reflect larger gains than actual since taxes have already been paid on previous dividends and gains.

: : The capital gains reports are based off your tax cost basis. If you receive a dividend or capital gain, this does not affect your cost basis for tax purposes, unless you reinvest it. If you do reinvest it, Fund Manager will factor this into your cost basis.
