: I now have all my investments setup, individual stock issues are updating prices and transactions are downloaded from their respective brokerage accounts.
: I have about 20 mutual funds and these are in a sub-portfolio in my overall investment hierarcy and also in another portfolio that is seperate but indentical to the sub-portfolio.
: The mutual fund prices updated OK from the default links but now I want to be able to download transactions for each fund. It appears that I will have to set each mutual fund company as a portfolio or sub -portfolio to be able to have seperate links to each fund for this data?

Hi Ronald,

Yes, this is correct. Transaction retrieve settings are assigned on a sub-portfolio basis, so for each broker or mutual fund company that you are retrieving from, you would want to have a sub-portfolio set up for them.

If you want to view your data in a different hierarchy, you could set up one branch of sub-portfolios for retrieving, and another branch with your desired hierarchy. The same investments can be located in more than one sub-portfolio.

Thanks,
Mark
