: Just downloaded the latest version 7 and have a couple questions related to subportfolios. First, it seems like a good idea in that I now only have to add a new security to the subportfolio and it will automatically be added to all higher level portfolios. At least thats how I expect it to operate.

: Is there a way to navigate between subportfolios (and the master) besides tile-ing the screen with the portfolio editor, right clicking on the subportfolio name, selcting the Graph option, and the graph type? Seems like there should be a hotkey to toggle between subportfolios (or two, one for sub and one for sub-sub) so the screen can be maximized for the graph.

: Also - is there a way to have different graph options for the master and each sub-portfolio. So for example my master portfolio graph should range for 200-300K, but one sub-p should go from 50-100, and another from 100-150 and a third from 150-250. I get them same graphing range on each one.

: Thanks
: Steve

Hi Steve,

Your expectation on how this works is correct: any investment in a lower level sub-portfolio is also included in the totals of higher level sub-portfolios.

There is a concept of an "active" sub-portfolio. This is the sub-portfolio displayed in the graph window. You can set the active sub-portfolio in the Portfolio Editor, or you can do it right from the graph window. From the graph window choose "Investments / Set Active Portfolio".

If you set the scale to autoscale, you will automatically get different scales for each graph. It sounds like you may have set the scale manually, or maybe done a mouse zoom. You can use "View / Scale..." to turn back on autoscale.

Thanks,
Mark
