hiding sold investments from portfolio editor

when i have fully sold a stock, how can i remove the stock from the portfolio without changing the "portfolio performance report" to change?

example:
1. bought 100 shares ABC @ 10 and sold all shares at 15
2. this is reflected on the port editor window as 0.00 shares @ 15 with a value of 0.00.
3. when i "close" this investment because i no longer hold the shares, i find that the "invested value" on my "portfolio performance" report changes.

why does this happen? please advice. thanks.
