: : Mark (d'fm):

: : I tried it, but the trans don't show up on the specific security. They seem to only show up in the Portfolio Transactions report for all portfolio transactions (no specific security). Also, their effect is not seen (a sell of about $30,000) on the value of the security that they are assigned to but the effect is seen on the value of the portfolio as a whole.

: Hi Mark,

: All transactions must be in some investment. If you're looking at the "Investment Transaction" report for all investments in the portfolio each transaction should say something like "Buy Stock XYZ", where "Stock XYZ" is the name of the investment for this transaction. You can click on this line item in the report, and it will open up the Data Register with this transaction hilighted. The other possibility that may be causing confusion is if this is recorded in an investment that is hidden. You can turn on "View / Hidden Investments" to make sure you're seeing all investments. Transactions from even hidden investments will show up in this report, but the investment won't be listed in the Data Register unless you turn on "View / Hidden Investments".

: If this doesn't clear things up, you can email me your portfolio with investment files, and point out a problematic transaction, and I can help in more detail.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Found it -- it was a hidden investment that duplicated an unhidden one. It looks as if the hidden one was created automatically on a transaction import from Prudential, but I'm not sure of this .. I may have hidden it by mistake. I consolidated the two into one and it's correct. Nice work on FM by the way.
