Hi Steve,

You could record a "Note" transaction. Just right mouse click on the investment and choose "Note...". Notes have dates assigned and will show up in the Investment Transaction report, so you can make a note saying what happened on that date.

In addition, you would want to go into the Investment Properties and change the Name/Symbol for this investment.
