Hi Ed,

You can assign any investment (including an ETF) to any allocation of asset types that you want. When you initially create a new investment you must choose one asset type, but if you choose "Investment Properties... / Asset Type" you can allocate an investment among multiple asset types in varying percentages.

As an aside, you can customize the asset types to be anything you want under "Options / Category Labels...".
