Incorrect? Cost Calculations

I am currently experiencing what seems to be incorrect behaviour in calculation of Cost (NAV) after a sale. I noticed that one stock's NAV on the CST-NAV graph was higher than what I had remembered it to be for no reason that I could explain. Looking at it in more detail, a sale last year (at a profit)shows on the graph, but the COST line doesn't show a decrease on that date. Looking at the CST-VAL graph shows a decrease in the total cost with the sale, but for a lesser amount than the sale (taking commision into account). I experimented a bit by editing the sale transaction, but no matter what price I use for the sale, it has no effect on the graphs (other than to move the sale triangle up or down to correspond to the sale price). The NAV line doesn't change, nor does the displayed C value at the top left. Only deleting the transaction has an effect. Then NAV changes but not by what I would expect to be the correct amount. I'm sure this all worked correctly a few days ago and I'm not aware of changing anything, so I've run out of ideas. It may be the result of something I've done, but I just don't know what.
