Revising / Deleting Portfolios

I have decided that I have too many levels of portfolios within each other. So I set out to somplify this by working within the portfolio editor and copying the investment files from a lower level portfolio to the next higher portfolio. That worked fine. Next I was looking for a "delete" key to either delete the investements, one by one, from the lower level portfolio, or to delete the lower leverl portfolio at once. However, I didn't see this. I see a "close" command. But I don't really understand if the term, "close" here would mean the same thing as "delete." How should I be going about this task.
